my-first-ballet-classGymboree Horsley – they run various sessions throughout the week at East Horsley village hall.

Monkey Music in Cobham, KT112AA. A franchise of structured music classes for different age groups pre-school. Classes currently held on Mondays & Fridays at Cobham Methodist Church.

Tiny Tunes  provide music and dance pay as you classes for 3 months – 5 years . They also provide nursery sessions and parties. No need to book just turn up. Hide under a parachute, shake the maracas, dance with bubbles and sing along!
Sessions are 40 minutes long.

Clandon School of Dance offer classes in ballet, modern dance, tap, musical theatre (singing and drama) and non-syllabus jazz at West Clandon Village Hall,  Send Primary School in Send and at Clandon Infants School, West Clandon. For boys and girls aged 2½ – 18 years old. Pre-school classes are currently held on Wednesday early afternoons and Saturday mornings.

MAD classes in Dorking, RH4 1DW. A franchise of ” Music and Drama and a whole lot of fun”. Classes currently held at Dorking Christian Centre, on Fridays. 2 classes – 1 for Babies to Crawlers and then another for Walkers to Two.

Tennis: Top-Spin monkeys for 2-7 year olds run by Andy Low at East Horsley village hall and a number of other locations around Surrey.

Football: Kiko Soccer led by respected coach Frank Gomez at East Horsley village hall, Leatherhead leisure centre & Burwood House, Cobham.

Martial arts: Lil’ Dragon offer non-contact martial arts programme catering to children ages 3-5 years old in the village hall in Stoke d’Abernon, Cobham.

Soft play

soft playSquires garden centre, West Horsley – a small soft play suitable for younger children (“Help the heroes” charity.)

Bocketts farm – a fantastic award winning farm with a medium sized soft play area with long slides. It also boasts a large outdoor play area and petting farm. A real attraction for the kids is the pig racing with great names such as ‘Will-I-Ham!’

Hobbledown – calling itself a “mysterical adventure”, it has an enormous soft play area and a fantastic outdoor play area with magical tunnels and climbing tubes. It also hosts a number of animals and some great interactive shows.

Leatherhead leisure centre soft play – another great soft play area but it is time-limited.

Fun in the Foam soft play at the gymnasium just beyond the Leatherhead Leisure Centre. Timed sessions for 45 minutes in hourly slots, usually between 12-3pm.

Rokers Little Angels soft play, Worplesdon.

Got2swim run by Annette @ De Vere in Horsley Towers.

Snappy swimmers held at Glenesk school in term-time only. High teacher to class ratio so slightly more expensive.

The Swimming Academy run lessons for adults and children (pre-schooler and school age) out of Boxgrove Primary School GU1 2TD.

Boxhill Swim Team run 3 different parent and baby classes from 3 months age to 3 years age on Wednesday mornings at Glenesk school.

Julie’s swim school held at a variety of locations locally (Ripley Court school, Boxgrove school, Cranmore school & Goldsworth school).

Dorking Pools also run swimming lesson for children as young as 6 months old as well as for adults. Group classes usually cost around £6 a class.

Toddler groups


Puddleducks toddlers group, West Horsley village hall, KT24 6DD. Term-time on Tuesdays 9.30-11am.

Toddler group, St Martin’s Church Hall, East Horsley. Term-time on Wednesdays 10-11:30am.

Noah’s Ark toddler group, The Wheelhouse, 80 East Lane, West Horsley. Term-time Thursdays 10-11.30am.

Glenesk school tots & toddlers Term-time on Tuesdays 1.45-3pm and Thursdays 10-11.30am

East Horsley library rhyme time. Term-time on Tuesdays at 11.15-11.45am.

Dance and music class 9.45-10.30am St Andrews church hall Cobham. Ages 8 months-3 years

Treetops Forest School 10am -12noon term time for children from 1 years.
