    Hi – I’ve just come across your website. To your list of local sports clubs, would you mind please adding Weyfarers – http://weyfarers.org.uk/?

    It’s in Weybridge – normally about 20 minutes’ ride away. Apart from cycling (dangerous) and swimming (wet!), rowing is the only all-body, low-impact sport available for adults, and a fast track to fitness. New members are always welcome. Weyfarers are a non-competitive, recreational club who will teach you how to row. After that, the annual subscription is only £205, for which you can go out on the River Thames every day if you wish! I go 2-3 times a week. Members range in age from 18 to 83. On weekdays, most participants are in their 50s and 60s; at weekends, somewhat younger.

    Hi – I’ve just started up a Pilates for Bone Health class at the West Horsley Village Hall on Wednesdays at 2.45. This class is for those diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia or anyone who wishes to work on strengthening their joints.

    The classes will be kept small – no larger than 10 mats.

    I am a qualified Body Control Pilates teacher with a specialist qualification in Bone Health. I am also a qualified Back4Good practitioner. Please see the Body Control Pilates Association website for more details.
